Bennett slams State Comptroller vote as “illegal and fundamentally corrupt”

Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett sharply criticized the appointment of attorney Michael Rabilo as State Comptroller, claiming the vote took place “with a gun to lawmakers’ heads” and describing the process as “fundamentally corrupt and blatantly illegal.”

Opposition leader Yair Lapid announced he will petition Israel’s High Court of Justice against Rabilo’s election, accusing the Likud party of tainting the vote. Rabilo, who won the Knesset ballot, also serves as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s personal attorney.
