Ahead of Sabbath: IDF says wartime guidelines to stay in place over the weekend

The IDF Home Front Command said that the wartime guidelines, which were eased on Wednesday, will stay unchanged over the weekend, with a new assessment set to be held on Saturday at 8 p.m.

Under the current guidelines, nearly all restrictions were lifted, allowing schools and workplaces to operate as usual with the exception of some areas where gatherings are limited to 1,000 people.

However, in large areas of northern Israel, where Hezbollah continues to fire rockets, educational activities will be allowed only within bomb shelters.

This applies to most of the Golan Heights, the Upper Galilee and the surroundings of Haifa, where gatherings are permitted up to 50 people outdoors and 200 indoors, and workplaces can operate if an adequate shelter can be reached in time.
