3.5-magnitude earthquake felt near Sea of Galilee

A 3.5-magnitude earthquake was felt Sunday evening in the Sea of Galilee region, according to the Geological Survey of Israel. The tremor occurred at 8:42 p.m., with no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

The latest quake follows a mild 4.7-magnitude earthquake recorded in April, which was felt in the Haifa and Krayot areas. That tremor originated in the Mediterranean Sea, about 61 kilometers west of Sidon, Lebanon.
