INCD: 1,300 reports of scam calls and phishing since start of operation
Israel’s National Cyber Directorate said that since the start of Operation “Lion’s Roar,” about 1,300 reports have been received from citizens regarding intimidation calls and fraudulent messages, with around 77% identified as phishing attempts.
Authorities urged the public to remain vigilant and avoid cooperating with unknown callers. The directorate recommended not answering calls from unfamiliar or overseas numbers, enabling call filtering, immediately hanging up and blocking suspicious callers, and never sharing personal details or verification codes over phone calls or messages.
