IDF Central Command to hold extreme-scenario military drill in Jordan Valley based on lessons from Oct 7
Next week, the IDF will hold a large-scale exercise under the Central Command, based on the lessons learned from Oct. 7, according to a report published on Kan Reshet Bet Radio on Thursday.
The exercise is planned as part of preparations for the possibility of escalation, terrorist infiltrations, and attacks originating from Judea and Samaria.
For the first time, Division 96 — established a few months ago during Operation Am K’Lavi and responsible for the Jordanian border — will take part in the drill.
In addition, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir held a dedicated discussion on the drone threat in the region.
The exercise, scheduled for next Monday, will be a two-division drill involving the Judea and Samaria Division and the “Gilad” Division (96).
It will be managed by the Central Command and is expected to last three days.
Participating forces will include the Air Force, special units, the Shin Bet, police, and territorial defense units in the area.
Throughout the drill, the divisions and all participating bodies will train in a range of extreme scenarios to improve joint operations and enhance preparedness for all potential escalation situations.
