Israel’s official request to US: Help destroy Iran's Fordow nuclear facility

Israel continues to pressure the United States to participate in the airstrikes on Iran. This evening (Sunday), Kan News reported that Israel has officially requested American military action to destroy the underground nuclear facility at Fordow.
U.S. officials clarified that the United States does not intend to intervene in the ongoing war between Iran and Israel. The matter is expected to be raised in a conversation later today between Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz and U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.
At the same time, Israeli officials noted that the U.S. may join military activity if Iran attacks American targets in the Middle East. Israel believes it can continue targeting the Iranian nuclear program even without direct U.S. support. One Israeli source stated, “The U.S. assists us in defense – and that is sufficient.”
Meanwhile, Israel has also requested assistance from other countries in defending against and intercepting missiles and drones from Iran. This formal request aims to rebuild the international coalition that was active during previous Iranian attacks in October and April of last year.
The United Kingdom has agreed to participate in the defensive operations and is expected to act soon. A British official told Kan News, “We do not comment on operational matters.” As for France, internal debate continues, though a French official said the country is “ready to act on the matter.”
