Israel had already decided on a course of action in response to a potential strike on the Haifa oil refineries (BAZAN) even before it was hit by a missile fired from Iran, according to a report aired Wednesday on Kan News.

Due to a consensus that any strike on the facility would require a harsh response, discussions were held in Israel about possible retaliatory measures, and a course of action was chosen.

During the night between Sunday and Monday, a missile launched from Iran struck the Haifa refineries, killing three people.

However, despite the damage, the planned response has not yet been carried out.

A source familiar with the matter stated that Israel may still carry out the operation at a later time.

According to the Oil Refineries Ltd. (BAZAN), the direct hit caused significant damage to the power station responsible for part of the steam and electricity supply used by the group’s facilities.

As a result, BAZAN announced that all refinery facilities and subsidiaries have been shut down.
