Hamas releases new footage of emaciated hostage Evyatar David, declares it won’t disarm under any agreement
David family says their son is a ‘living skeleton buried alive’, calls for his release

The terrorist organization Hamas declared it won’t lay down its weapons “as long as the occupation exists,” after releasing horrifying new propaganda footage over the weekend, showing Israeli hostage Evyatar David frail and emaciated.
On Saturday, the David family permitted the media to show parts of Hamas’ latest propaganda video, which shows Evyatar frail, with pale skin and emaciated to the degree that his bones are clearly visible.
Reading out a message most likely dictated by the terrorists holding him, David said with a weak voice, “Today is July 27, at 12 p.m., I don’t know what I’m going to eat. I haven’t eaten for a few days in a row.”
“I am in a very, very difficult situation, for a long time,” he added, claiming the terrorists were giving him as much food – mostly lentils and beans – as they are able to.
At one point, the cameraman hands Evyatar a can of food. “This can is for two days. This whole can is for two days so that I don’t die,” he said. The end of the video shows Evyatar digging what he says he fears will be his grave in a tunnel.
“We are forced to witness our beloved son and brother, Evyatar, deliberately and cynically starved in the Hamas tunnels in Gaza – a living skeleton buried alive,” the David family stated.
“Our son only has a few days to live in this condition. Hamas is using our son, Evyatar, as a living experiment in a disgusting hunger campaign,” the statement read, calling on the Israeli government and the international community to ensure that David receives food and is released quickly.

On Saturday, Hamas responded to comments made earlier by White House Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, who had told hostage families that the group could agree to lay down its weapons as part of a future hostage deal agreement.
In response, the terrorist organization vowed not to disarm as long as Israel exists and until there is a “independent Palestinian state with full sovereignty and Jerusalem as its capital.”
Witkoff’s visit to Gaza on Friday was “nothing more than a pre-arranged theatrical performance aimed at misleading public opinion, polishing the image of the occupation, and providing it with political cover for managing starvation and continuing the systematic killing of children and unarmed civilians,” Hamas stated.
“Witkoff’s misleading statements, along with the broadcast of propaganda images attempting to portray the aid distribution as peaceful, are contradicted by the facts on the ground where he stood, where more than 1,300 innocent starving martyrs were shot by the bullets of the occupation army and the inhumane employees of the ‘Gaza Foundation,’ which was established to complete the chapters of killing and genocide,” Hamas claimed.
Following the visit to Gaza, Witkoff met with families of hostages who remain in captivity, telling them there was no new progress in the ceasefire negotiations, according to Israeli media outlets.
“I hear your frustration. I understand that you want them home; part of the reason I am in this work is because I lost a child. I know what it is to lose a child. I wish that I had news for you. But the situation is complicated. There are many reasons [for this] that I cannot detail. Hamas is a terrorist organization,” he said.
In this context, he mentioned that a future agreement would necessitate the demilitarization of Hamas, stating that the group was “ready to demilitarize.”
“Beyond this, some Arab countries are demanding that Hamas disarm,” he said.
“A majority of Israelis want the hostages at home, and a majority of Gaza’s public wants the return of hostages because they want the rehabilitation of the Strip,” he continued.
“There is no victory without bringing everyone home; all of you have become part of my family.”
“The plan is not to expand the war, but to end it,” Witkoff vowed, potentially signaling that reports of Israel and the U.S. working toward a comprehensive deal to end the conflict, rather than pursuing another partial ceasefire, are true.
