A few weeks ago, IDF troops rescued a group of Palestinian collaborators who had been trapped under the rubble of a collapsed building in the southern Gaza Strip, Kan News reported on Sunday.

The Palestinians were deployed by the IDF to conduct searches inside the building.

After they were injured, IDF soldiers were dispatched to extract them from the debris.

During the operation, a helicopter was scrambled, carrying soldiers from Commando Unit 669 and a doctor who provided medical treatment to one of the wounded Palestinians.

The injured man was later airlifted to an Israeli hospital in the south of the country.

In recent weeks, Israel has been assisting groups of Palestinians that oppose Hamas, some of whom are also carrying out various missions for Israel, such as securing humanitarian convoys and scanning suspicious buildings.

The most well-known of these groups is led by Yasser Abu Shabab, which operates in the Rafah area and has even been supplied with Kalashnikov rifles by Israel.

It turns out the support extends beyond weapons, encompassing rescue and evacuation efforts for individuals injured while carrying out missions on behalf of the IDF and the State of Israel.

About a month ago, Kan News reported that Israel had supplied Kalashnikov rifles to Palestinian groups in the Gaza Strip opposed to Hamas, enabling them to defend themselves against the terrorist organization.

The operation was approved by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu without the Cabinet’s knowledge.
