Israeli sports-tech firm brings Maccabiah Games to viewers worldwide
Fans around the world will once again be able to watch the Maccabiah Games live thanks to a renewed partnership between Israeli sports-tech company Pixellot and the organizers of what is widely known as the "Jewish Olympics."
Pixellot announced this week that it is renewing its dedicated streaming platform for the Maccabiah Games, allowing viewers worldwide to watch competitions live while interacting with athletes, coaches and teams across multiple sports, age groups and skill levels.
The long-term agreement, valued at tens of thousands of dollars, is also intended to strengthen ties between Israel and Jewish and Christian supporters around the world by making the Games accessible to audiences unable to attend in person.
"We are pleased to partner with the Maccabiah Games once again and support this remarkable celebration of sports and community," said Pixellot CEO Doron Gerstel. "Our technology was built precisely for moments like this –giving athletes at every level the platform they deserve, while keeping families and communities globally connected, even when they cannot be there in person. This is a prime example of how Israeli innovation makes sports truly accessible to everyone."
"The Maccabiah is all about uniting Jewish communities from around the globe, and our goal is to ensure that geography is no barrier to experiencing the games," added Maccabiah CEO Roy Hessing.
"Through our collaboration with Pixellot, thousands of families, friends and fans can follow the competitions and athletes in real time, becoming an active part of the world's largest Jewish sporting event. This initiative allows us to broaden our reach and make the Maccabiah more accessible than ever before," he said.
Held every four years in Israel, the Maccabiah is the world's largest Jewish sporting competition and the second-largest multi-sport event globally. More than 10,000 athletes from over 80 countries compete in more than 45 sports, drawing tens of thousands of spectators.
Organized by Maccabi World Union (MWU), the Games aim to strengthen Jewish identity and deepen participants' connection to Israel through athletic competition, educational programming and cultural events.
In addition to sporting competitions, athletes participate in seminars on Jewish heritage, tours throughout Israel and other social activities. Competitors who have not yet celebrated a Bar or Bat Mitzvah are also invited to participate in a ceremony at the Western Wall.
Maccabi World Union is one of the world's largest Jewish and Zionist organizations, operating in 60 countries through 450 clubs with a community of approximately 450,000 members.
The organization says its mission is to strengthen connections between Jewish communities worldwide and Israel through sports, education and well-being.
Founded in 2013, Pixellot specializes in AI-powered automated sports production technology that enables professional-quality live broadcasts at a fraction of the cost of traditional production.
In addition to live streaming, the company provides game analytics, AI-generated highlights and white-label streaming services that allow organizations to distribute live and on-demand sports content to audiences around the world.
