Gaza Humanitarian Foundation pleads with UN to ‘work together’ to address ‘food insecurity in Gaza’
Hamas continues attacks on protesters, threatens to target other ‘collaborators’

The head of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) sent a letter to UN Secretary-General António Guterres, urging cooperation in order to address “food insecurity in Gaza” as the United Nations has continued to refuse any assistance.
“The time has come to confront, without euphemism or delay, the structural failure of aid delivery in Gaza, and to course correct decisively,” GHF head Rev. Johnnie Moore wrote to Guterres. “We want to work together to achieve this goal.”
Rev. Moore also shared the letter on 𝕏, stating: “We have the same mission, the needs are great & our hand remains extended. We should be collaborating.”
Yesterday, I sent a letter to @UN Secretary General @antonioguterres regarding the work of GHF. Given the importance of the subject, I am also posting the letter publicly, here. We have the same mission, the needs are great & our hand remains extended. We should be collaborating. pic.twitter.com/jkQHrnErjC

Rev. Moore said that “food insecurity in Gaza is not a byproduct of logistical complexity or insufficient supply.” Instead, he noted, it is “driven by the failure to deliver food directly to those who need it.”
“Deliveries of food are failing to reach civilians reliably and securely due to mass diversion, looting, and the manipulation of humanitarian flows by bad actors,” Rev. Moore continued.
Although the statement did not mention Hamas by name, its reference to “bad actors” was clearly aimed at the terror group. The IDF has documented instances of Hamas seizing control of humanitarian aid convoys, and released hostages have testified that Hamas stored large quantities of UN-supplied aid boxes in its underground tunnel network.
Rev. Moore noted his repeated offers to collaborate with the UN, which, he noted, have gone unanswered by the world body, despite its recent successful distribution of around “40 million meals” in its first month of operation.
“More alarming still, the UN remained absolutely silent in the wake of a targeted killing of GHF personnel nearly two weeks ago,” Moore continued. “These were clearly identified humanitarian actors. Their neutrality was unquestionable.”
“Their murder was not only a violation of international law, it was an affront to the very principles the UN purports to defend,” Moore wrote. He urged Guterres “to publicly condemn the targeting of humanitarian workers in Gaza, and to denounce the obstruction of aid by Hamas and other armed factions.”
Meanwhile, Hamas has reportedly continued to attack, harass –and even kill – GHF personnel who take part in food distribution, while suppressing internal dissent.
Palestinian activists in Gaza reported on social media that Ahmad Al-Masri, an activist known for participating in anti-Hamas protests in northern Gaza, was recently assaulted by Hamas.

Images show Al-Masri lying on a stretcher with leg injuries reportedly caused by the Hamas assault. He is said to have received treatment at Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.
Recent posts on social media show Al-Masri holding signs against Hamas, or chanting at a demonstration, saying, “We don’t want Hamas. Hamas has destroyed us. Enough!”
A recent post from an individual claiming to be part of Hamas' “Arrows” unit – responsible for finding and punishing people suspected of collaborating with Israel or foreign entities – celebrated the attack on Al-Masri.

“The men of One Arrow unit gave Ahmed Al-Masri a lesson he’ll never forget,” read a post on the account, ‘Abdullah.’
“Ahmed Al-Masri is one of those collaborating with foreign entities, receiving money and being directed to carry out acts of rioting, chaos, and incitement inside the Gaza sector,” the post read. “Ahmed Al-Masri was one of the leaders of what’s called the ‘Beit Lahia movement.’ He was making banners and slogans against the Resistance during the war.”
The account also threatened to carry out similar attacks on other protesters.
