In the Promised Land?

During my extensive teaching period for ten years in the USA, from 1997 to 2007, after an extended period outside the USA in Israel, I often mentioned "The amazing success of America is not simply nature at work", but the blessing of God.  Even unto my own youth, the general drift of America was, for a majority, the honouring of God (a church on every corner)..Divorce was an anomaly, school shootings non-existent (though there were plenty of guns), homosexuality was a perversion of nature, entertainment was  wholesome, communism was something we fought against, policemen were respected, the Pledge of Allegiance was recited daily in classrooms, etc etc.  Movies like "The Robe", "The Ten Commandments," "The Greatest Story Ever Told," and "Ben Hur" were the fare that nourished our souls along with family TV content, and the Boy Scouts built decent young men.

All that has changed radically.  Along with the coming of Obama's "change" and Biden's open borders, America has been flooded with ungodly and lawless behavior now seen as normal, and the norm. I am no prude, but when in the USA I simply could not watch TV. I was living in Colorado when the Columbine high school massacre shocked us all (one of our friend's daughters was killed there). Now it is so common that we are no longer shocked. And I could not believe the ignorance of young Americans regarding its history, or anything relating to the Bible. I taught a 24-hour seminar on the Ten Commandments only because I saw that many had no awareness of them, and I erected a five ton granite monument of the Decalogue in Denver to be seen by all.

I had written many times, "The laws of the Eternal cannot be broken for long with impunity." But I am watching sadly as the fabric of America is being torn apart at the seams-. not over a principle like slavery that brought on the /Civil War, but for an unbound and suicidal effort to unleash the powers of chaos and Hell. Marriages and families breaking apart, children disowning their parents. young people killing each other and themselves now daily, and children not knowing their own gender. But the naive call that "Progress."

There are now enemies of Western civilization, especially Israel, with a clearcut and focused agenda to dismantle and dissolve and replace it. The lack of cohesion and vision in the West will help facilitate their focused agenda, as we are witnessing in Europe today. They would be glad to fill the vacuum of a fading Christianity with a different spirit. When Hitler wrote his Mein Kampf he was thought a mere madman not to be taken seriously. Muhammad likewise is ignored as just another fine religious figure to be tolerated along with Jesus and Moses and Buddha, or even Marx, But the message in those Islamic texts has not changed since the Muslim armies conquered the entire Mideast and penetrated Europe, but for the Battle of Tours stopping them. Yes, you can take those madmen at their word. 

We can thank President Trump, for now, for putting his finger in the dike.
