Indonesia, Azerbaijan, and Pakistan top candidates to provide troops for stabilization force in Gaza

The news site Politico reported that Indonesia, Azerbaijan, and Pakistan are the leading candidates to send troops for a future stabilization force in the Gaza Strip.
This is according to a current official in the U.S. Department of Defense and a former American security official.
The report also stated that, according to the current Pentagon official, discussions regarding the composition of the force are ongoing, and no country has made a final commitment yet.
According to him, these are the countries that have shown the most interest.
“We’re talking about a timeframe of two to three months from the moment a decision is made on who will participate,” Dan Shapiro, who served as head of Middle East affairs at the Pentagon during the Biden administration, told Politico.
