PM Netanyahu's upcoming Washington visit: His expected request from Trump regarding Iran
Qatar submits new hostage deal proposal to Israel

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to request guarantees from U.S. President Donald Trump to secure a green light for a possible Israeli strike on Iran in the future, according to a Kan Reshet Bet report on Wednesday.
This request would be made if Israel detects advancements in Iran’s nuclear program or missile production capabilities.
Netanyahu may even request the guarantees officially, in the form of a side letter to the United States.
Last night's Kan News broadcast reported that Netanyahu wants Trump to present a regional plan for the Middle East as part of the efforts to end the war in Gaza.
According to sources, this is expected to take place during Netanyahu’s visit to Washington at the beginning of next week.
Israeli officials said the issues of ending the war and releasing the hostages would be key elements of the proposed plan. The Prime Minister’s Office and the White House have not yet responded to questions on the matter.
Yesterday, both Netanyahu and Trump confirmed they would meet in Washington next week.
Ahead of the meeting, Trump stated, “I am being very tough with Netanyahu on ending the war. He wants to end it too.” Regarding a Gaza ceasefire, Trump added that an agreement could be reached “next week.”
This will be Netanyahu’s fourth visit to the U.S. during the war and the third since Trump began his second term in the White House this January.
60-day ceasefire and release of all hostages: The new Qatari proposal
Qatar has submitted a new proposal to Israel regarding the release of the hostages. According to two diplomatic sources, the proposal includes a 60-day ceasefire, during which eight living hostages would be released on the first day. Two additional living hostages would be released on the 50th day of the ceasefire.
The outline also states that the bodies of 18 deceased hostages would be released in three phases. According to the proposal, the IDF will withdraw from the Morag route and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip will be increased.
Sources involved in the negotiations say there is a high chance of a deal being signed, but disagreements between the sides remain. Among the points of contention: the conditions for ending the war and the extent of the IDF's withdrawal.
