When influential voices undermine Israel: A call for Christian clarity

In a time when anti-Semitism is once again rising globally, it is deeply troubling to see some of the most recognizable voices in conservative media using their platforms to mislead millions—often in ways which undermine Israel and embolden her enemies. As Christians, we must not stay silent.
Tucker Carlson’s Troubling Alignments
Once seen as a champion of traditional values, Tucker Carlson has taken a turn which should concern anyone who values truth. Carlson recently conducted a high-profile interview with the Prime Minister of Qatar—a nation known to fund Hamas, the terrorist group responsible for the October 7th massacre of Israeli civilians. Reports reveal Carlson was paid over $200,000 by the Qatari government for this interview, raising serious questions about media complicity in spreading Islamist propaganda ¹.
Carlson has also echoed sentiments sympathetic to Iran, the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism. This is the same Iranian regime which chants "Death to America, Death to Israel" at its rallies—a nation which has funded countless terror attacks against both U.S. and Israeli interests. Yet Carlson has failed to challenge Iran’s aggression, and instead has cast doubt on Israel’s moral clarity in defending herself.
In a separate interview, Carlson praised Munther Isaac, a Palestinian pastor who accused Israel of genocide, telling him, “Father, thank you for your thoroughly decent and sensible analysis” ². He has also hosted figures tied to Holocaust revisionism and questioned the loyalty of Jewish Americans who defend Israel ³.
Candace Owens: Platforming Antisemitic Tropes
Candace Owens has repeatedly amplified rhetoric which directly contradicts biblical truth and moral clarity. She has:
• Downplayed the horrors of the Holocaust, calling Nazi medical experiments “bizarre propaganda” ⁴
• Promoted conspiracy theories questioning the legitimacy of Ashkenazi Jews as descendants of biblical Israel ⁵
• Been named “Antisemite of the Year” by StopAntisemitism for her persistent anti-Jewish remarks and defense of openly anti-Semitic figures ⁶
When these messages come from influencers with large Evangelical followings, the result is spiritual confusion and a dangerous erosion of biblical conviction.
Iran’s War Is Against the West, Too
We must not forget: Iran is not only Israel’s enemy—it is America’s enemy as well. The regime’s own leaders chant “Death to America” as routinely as they chant “Death to Israel.” Its fingerprints are on attacks which have killed American troops, destabilized governments, and threatened our national security. Supporting Israel’s right to exist and defend herself is not only a biblical mandate—it is a strategic imperative for the security of the free world.
God’s Word Is Clear
“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse…” —Genesis 12:3
Supporting Israel is not merely a political position—it is a covenantal responsibility. Aligning with her enemies, or giving oxygen to their propaganda, is not just bad policy—it is spiritual compromise.
The Role of Christian Media and Discipleship
The Church must rise in discernment. While the influence of media grows, we must train this generation—especially young Christians—to know the Word of God, understand history, and reject false narratives which glorify those who hate both Israel and America.
The rise of anti-Semitism—whether in progressive movements or conservative circles—must be called out with moral clarity. We cannot afford to be silent. Not when the stakes are this high.
