Hormuz transit subdued as US-Iran talks stall
Shipping through the Strait of Hormuz remained subdued amid a stalemate in U.S.-Iran talks, with just six cargo vessels transiting the waterway on Monday, Reuters reported.
Three ships entered the Gulf and three exited, below the 10-day average of 11 vessels a day. No large oil tankers or LNG carriers were recorded, although some ships may have passed with tracking transponders turned off.
Traffic was also below average at the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, where 19 cargo vessels passed through on Monday, compared with a 10-day daily average of 26.
