Blessing Israel in the storm: the testimony of a French-speaking group

It's your turn to bless Israel: are you ready for a journey of solidarity and hope?

French-speaking believers come to bless Israel in the midst of war

As the war continues to weigh heavily on the Israeli population, a group of French-speaking Christians chose to travel to Israel, not for tourism, but to bless, serve, and encourage the people during a time of crisis.

These believers felt that now, more than ever, was the right moment to demonstrate their solidarity. As the group leader shared:

“It was important, as Christians, that we come to Israel and serve. Before, I used to organize many tourist trips. But with the war, it seemed much more meaningful to come and help where there were real needs.”

This conviction is deeply rooted in God’s promise to Abraham:

“I will bless those who bless you... and all the families of the earth will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 12:3)

During their stay, the participants came face to face with the painful reality of war, including a visit to one of the sites struck by the October 7th massacres in Re’im. That experience left a deep impression on them and strengthened their resolve to take action.

They offered tangible help: packing food parcels for families in need, planting vineyards, providing other forms of practical support, and meeting “the living stones of Israel” by visiting local ministries and believers. Their actions became a source of encouragement for the Israelis who welcomed them.

“Just the fact that we came was already huge for them. Of course, packing boxes or planting vineyards helps, but it’s also the human connection, showing that we care, that makes all the difference.”

The trip was also transformative for the participants themselves. For many, it was their first time in Israel.

“They discovered the country through a different lens than what we see in the West. Some discovered new things about God, about Israel, and even about themselves,” the organizer said.

Some spoke of discovering their own limits, but also new strength. All of them returned home changed, determined to share what they had experienced: a picture of Israel very different from the one often portrayed in the media.

“My prayer,” the leader added, “is that as they return to their respective countries, they will share what they have seen and lived.”

It’s a clear call to live out the words of Scripture:

“Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called ‘today.’” (Hebrews 3:13)

One of the strongest messages that emerged from this experience was an invitation to other French-speaking believers: to come to Israel.

“Come to Israel!” several members of the group repeated on camera. “You will be blessed, and you will bless this land.”

At a time when Israel is facing unprecedented challenges, their presence was a powerful testimony of love and support. It also echoed the biblical exhortation:

“Comfort, comfort my people, says your God.” (Isaiah 40:1)

The organizer emphasized that she hopes this trip will be the first of many, and that such encounters will continue to multiply — bringing blessing and hope on both sides.

In Israel and in their home countries, these pilgrims return carrying a clear message: the light shines brightest in the darkness when believers choose to love and to bless.
