The 'Thelma & Louise' of the Woke Right – and their war against Israel

It's now become like a broken record. The Woke Right is talking crazy again. It never stops.

This time, we’re talking about both Candace Owens and Megyn Kelly, who have essentially turned into the antisemitic "Thelma and Louise" of the Woke Right.

Let’s start with Candace Owens. In the aftermath of Israel’s rapid-fire military strike – over 160 bombs dropped in minutes targeting Hezbollah sites in Lebanon – Owens took to 𝕏 and posted the following:

“There will never be peace in the world while Israel exists.”

Straightforward antisemitism at the highest level. No nuance. No caveat. No distinction between government policy and the existence of a nation. Just the simple proclamation that Israel shouldn’t exist if you want peace.

The Woke Right has moved well beyond, ‘I disagree with what Israel is doing.’ They’re now saying, ‘Israel itself is the problem’ and should no longer exist. Maybe Candace Owens is auditioning to be the next Ayatollah of Iran, though, as a woman, it may not work out well for her.

Now let’s pivot to Megyn Kelly. Speaking on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Kelly zeroed in on U.S. President Donald Trump’s interaction with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – and what she believes went wrong. She was reacting to reporting that Bibi (PM Netanyahu) was in the Situation Room trying to convince Trump and top officials to come alongside Israel and go to war with Iran.

Here’s how she framed it: “What led Trump, at 79 years old, to sit in there, in that situation room, where Bibi Netanyahu was seated as an equal?”

“Trump didn’t even sit at the head of the table. Trump sat at the side of the table, and Bibi was across from him as an equal in the American situation room.”

Then came this: “What led him to sit there and buy what that guy was selling hook, line, and sinker when every other president was able to see through that liar?”

And she didn’t stop there. “That’s not to take agency away from the president, who was bamboozled...I don’t know why he was too weak to say no... He was too gullible to see through the lies...One way or another, he allowed himself to be pushed into this insane conflict.”

So, to sum up their narrative, it goes like this: Israel is not just involved – they’re the driving force and President Trump didn’t act independently – he was influenced by the evil Israelis. That’s called antisemitism.

Shlomo Levin, the former deputy president of the Israeli Supreme Court, put it this way in a recent op-ed:

“Claims that Jews or Israel are somehow pulling the strings and manipulating the US into the Iran war don’t arise in a vacuum. They mirror longstanding patterns of antisemitism, in which Jews are portrayed as wielding hidden power, manipulating governments, and acting with dual loyalties.”

“This Iran war allegation would fit right in on the pages of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, as Jews meet around an imaginary table to plot their mischievous plans for global domination and to manipulate world powers.”

“So there is no basis for claiming that Trump has been manipulated by Israel into fighting this war against its interests and solely for Israel’s benefit, and every reason to think he is doing it out of his genuine belief that attacking Iran was in the best interests of the United States.”

“Accusing Israel or Jews of manipulating him into launching the war for their own purposes draws on all of the most classic tropes of traditional antisemitism.”

Of course, we know it’s not just Owens and Kelly dabbling in antisemitic tropes. Tucker Carlson may be their ringleader. What makes this different isn’t just what’s being said – it’s who’s saying it.

Sadly, these are not fringe voices. We’re talking major media personalities with massive reach and trusted voices for certain segments of the conservative base. It directly shapes the conversation fast, and a liberal media is more than willing to create chaos and confusion.

This is more than a nuisance or a temporary headache. It’s a problem that’s not just here to stay. It’s growing.

Look, you don’t have to agree with the war. You don’t have to support every move Israel makes. You don’t have to defend Trump.

But when the conversation turns into questioning a country’s right to exist and starts suggesting manipulation at the highest levels, then we’re in extremely dangerous territory, and it’s territory that Israel has seen many times in its history.
