Situation with Iran: True colors are brought out in time

It is a very sad day for America when the President of the United States berates with curse words [1] the Israeli Prime Minister for self-defense against terrorists. The Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon cannot be allowed to get away with continued attacks on Israel. From May 29th through June 1st, Hezbollah used rockets and drones in at least 40 attacks on northern Israel and Israeli forces in southern Lebanon [2]. Despite these repeated ceasefire violations by Hezbollah, Iran has asserted that the United States deal with Iran is contingent upon Israeli ceasefire in Lebanon [2]. Iran’s emphasis on the Lebanon issue is likely intended to cause discord between Israel and the United States [3], which can be exploited because of the U.S. President’s conflict of interest, specifically his obsession for making an ambitious deal of high stakes and complexity which U.S. presidents before him were unable to make.

The POTUS assumes Authority over Israel

The POTUS has claimed that the Israeli Prime Minister will “do whatever I want” [4]. Thus, Israel is essentially treated as a proxy of the United States. That is extremely prideful and even blasphemous because the role of ultimately being in charge of Israel is reserved for the King of kings. This leads to serious questions. Does the POTUS realize what he is saying, and which is worse, that he knows what he is saying, or doesn’t know? For anyone objectively following the situation in the Middle East, it should be obvious that the President of the United States is showing his true colors.

Israel-Lebanon Negotiations

On June 2nd another round of negotiations began between Israel and Lebanon in Washington, D.C. [5]. These negotiations are essentially meaningless because the culprit entity, Hezbollah, is not represented.  Those involved include U.S. officials and representatives from Israel and Lebanon. To summarize the situation as concisely as possible, Hezbollah is a non-state actor, functioning as an armed Shiite militia with political influence in Lebanon [6], and is a proxy of Iran [2]. The official Lebanese government is responsible for restraining and dismantling Hezbollah, and those responsibilities are supposed to be enforced by Lebanese Armed Forces [6]. Regardless, Hezbollah has continued to launch numerous attacks on Israel [2]. It is futile to unilaterally declare a ceasefire.

Deception at its Finest

There have been many speculations as to what specifically would “deceive even the elect, if it were possible,” as described in Matthew 24:24, one of which it has been speculated to be the guise of aliens.  While that certainly may be a contributing factor, the main subject of scripture regarding deception in the last days is a prominent man, who purportedly has answers to all of the world’s problems, and his followers. The phrase “if it were possible” is a peculiar one. In John 10, Jesus said My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they will follow Me. They will never follow a stranger…because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice. In Matthew 24:25, Jesus went on to say, “See, I have told you in advance.”
