Do not preserve the Iranian regime

Here’s an absurd scenario. It’s 1944, and Franklin D. Roosevelt, President of the United States must make tough decisions on how to have victory over the Nazi regime, finally putting an end to the madness which has spread throughout all of Europe.

His first response is to enter into negotiations so that he can save the lives of millions, on both sides, all of whom will inevitably be killed should an incursion take place. After all, diplomacy is always preferable to war, right?

Today, we can all breathe a sign of relief, knowing that none of that happened. Instead, the three strongest nations, the U.S., Great Britain and the Soviet Union, known as the Allied Powers, joined forces, attacking from the east and the west, invading Germany with the goal of putting an end to the evil regime of the Third Reich which terrorized all of its neighbors.

If that hadn’t been done, Hitler, along with his henchmen, would have made good on their goal to aggressively expand their conquest of land, towards the objective of totalitarian control and world dominance.

That doesn’t sound much different from the Iranian regime, now headed by the IRGC madmen. An estimated 15-22 million soldiers, comprising the Allied Powers are said to have been killed in their attempt to return sanity to a world which had been hijacked by a despicable ideology that saw itself as superior to all others.

Yes, it was messy, and too many lost their precious lives to return freedom to humanity, but no one considered sending a delegation of negotiators to make concessions while still keeping the demons in power.

Here we are, some 82 years later, with a different cast of players, in another part of the world, but confronting the same dynamics. This time, it’s an extreme religious ideology which, if not defeated, would employ coercion and the threat of death to force everyone into Islam.

Freedoms would be completely curtailed, and life, as we know it, would come to an end.  Women would be draped from head to toe in black, and men would be driven to dominate with savagery.

Jews and Christians would be no more, and a robotic, slave-class would obediently follow orders. Can anyone explain why that type of unimaginable existence, would be worth preserving for the ages?

So why is the American administration making every effort to preserve a regime, whose aspirations are based upon that kind of future? Why are they not taking a page from history, realizing that today’s IRGC is the Third Reich of its day?

In Mike Evans’ recent Jerusalem Post article entitled, “Donald Trump, sink the ‘Titanic,’” he starts out by saying that Iran is on life support, ready to be sunk, just as the Titanic.

Outlining just how much damage has been done to the Iranian military, its fuel storage facilities and airfields, Evans points out that the U.S. is poised to finish the job and finally take down this evil regime, so why not do it?

The reasons are many, but let’s begin with the 82-year gap in time, distancing us from a world that was headed towards the rule of oppression through the means of terrorism - demanding full loyalty and allegiance.

Courageous men and women, who understood the cost to their liberties, stood tall and did the job they had to do. No one weighed up the consideration of how that would damage their image or political brand. A job simply had to be done, if we were to retain our God-given privileges.

Now, we are at the crossroads of the same dilemma, but in a world that is pre-occupied with messaging, the preservation of evildoers and trying to please as many people as possible. It is those crazy self-imposed deliberations that cause us to lose sight of a much bigger picture – freedom and real security cannot be negotiated with depraved lunatics.

Having basked in the sunlight of a free society for over eight decades has made us forget what it’s like to lose our independence, personal choice and self-respect, but we mustn’t take any of that for granted!

Too much damage to our thinking has resulted from the highly flawed philosophies of the Woke and Socialist-leaning individuals, whose Utopian vision of life is entrenched in the dream of total equality for all – an impossible concept to achieve, so long as each person is diverse and unique.

To think that giving up one’s position, finances and accomplishments is the fix-all-solution to the world’s ills is simply delusional, but it’s where we are at, and the basis of how we react to much of what is happening in our world.

In short, the level of sophistication at which we’ve arrived, nearly a century later, has actually made us regress to a place of less self-awareness, a misplaced set of values and an insufficient collective protective mechanism.

We only stand to hurt ourselves by negotiating with a regime whose goal is to kill off our way of life, replacing it with theirs. Why would we enter into that kind of a twisted and perilous journey?

It is because our leaders have been unduly influenced by the erroneous thinking that every life is worth saving. Painful to say, that is not true, when the life you’re saving would take yours in a flash second, without any regret or remorse. Dr. Yuval Bitton, the Israeli physician, who ended up saving the life of Yahya Sinwar back in 2004, when he excised a tumor in his brain, knows that all too well.

Sinwar went on to commit many more years of evil, once his life was spared, enabling him to continue his perversity towards mankind.

Let’s face it! There are just some people and governments with whom negotiating is not possible, provided that we want to remain free people in a rational world.

This is why the Trump regime must abandon its present course and give up the notion that anything good or virtuous can come out of preserving the IRGC, which will revert to its default position of enacting the iron fist of oppression while murdering its own citizens who rebel against that type of existence.

President Trump, if you care about them or about the rest of us, you will realize that preserving the Iranian regime will come back to bite all of us!
