Nearly half of the companies on Fortune’s newly released 2027 Cyber 60 list are Israeli startups. Twenty-nine of the 60 technology companies were founded by Israelis, highlighting the nation's prominent position in the global cybersecurity industry.

The companies were selected from more than 300 businesses and divided into three categories: growth, early growth and early stage. Israeli companies were represented in all three groups. Six of the 20 growth-stage companies are Israeli, along with 11 of the 20 early-growth companies and 12 of the 20 early-stage startups.

Israeli tech companies accounted for 60% of the companies in the early-stage category.

Cybersecurity companies develop technologies to detect threats, protect sensitive information and secure digital systems, including artificial intelligence (AI) applications and autonomous software.

Cato Networks is one of Israel’s leading cybersecurity startups. The company combines enterprise networking and cybersecurity services through a global cloud platform. Its technology enables businesses to apply consistent security policies across offices, remote employees, AI services and cloud applications. Cato Networks reportedly serves more than 4,800 customers worldwide. During the second quarter of 2026, its revenue exceeded $415 million.

Island is another Israeli growth-stage company, which develops an enterprise browser designed to give organizations greater control over employee access to applications and the handling of sensitive business information. Its platform combines identity management and data protection with network security. In September 2026, Island announced a $400 million funding round, reportedly valuing the company at $6.4 billion.

Noma Security, listed in the early-growth category, was founded in 2023. The company develops a platform to protect enterprise AI applications and autonomous agents throughout their operational lifecycle. Its technology combines security testing, discovery, access control and real-time protection, allowing companies to assess AI agents and monitor their activities. The goal is to help corporate security teams identify potentially dangerous digital actions, intervene when necessary and prevent sensitive data from being compromised. Despite its relatively early stage, Noma has already raised $132 million.

Another Israeli company on the Fortune 2027 Cyber 60 is the early-stage startup, Act Security, founded in 2025. The company has developed a platform that analyzes identity permissions, network connectivity and application context to help organizations eliminate unnecessary access privileges and block potential attack paths. In July, the company announced that it had raised $60 million.

The Israeli cybersecurity industry has continued to expand amid the ongoing war with Iran and its regional proxies. In January, the sector's total exit value reached approximately $72.6 billion, while fundraising hit a record $8.27 billion.
