Journalist claims to know which Israeli official met with Egyptian intelligence chief before Oct 7
Israeli journalist Shlomi Eldar says he knows which Israeli official met with Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamel shortly before the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas-led attack.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview published on Tuesday that Kamel visited Israel in September 2023 but that he did not know which Israeli official had met with him.
Eldar, who previously reported that the president of the United Arab Emirates had warned Netanyahu before the attack, responded in a post on 𝕏 that Netanyahu could call him to learn the official’s identity.
He also referred to a 61-minute face-to-face meeting and a phone call, adding that security camera footage exists.
