A female anti-Israel heckler interrupted comedian Jerry Seinfeld’s show in Chicago this weekend, accusing Israel of genocide in Gaza and challenging the comedian over U.S. taxpayer-funded support for Israel. Seinfeld responded sarcastically, mocking the heckler as security escorted her out.

"22,000 Palestinian children killed with our taxpayer dollars, and you're making fun of it? This is genocide!" the woman claimed, chanting.

"I'm racist," Seinfeld said while dancing in response to the interruption.

"I'm going to find out how much your ticket cost and I'm going to send your money to Israel," Seinfeld continued as security escorted the heckler out of the venue. Tickets for the show reportedly cost between $103 and $157.

Seinfeld, one of America’s best-known Jewish comedians, rose to prominence in the 1990s with the hit sitcom Seinfeld. Since the Hamas-led Oct. 7, 2023, massacre in Israel, he has emerged as one of the Jewish state’s most vocal supporters in Hollywood, where anti-Israel sentiment has grown during the subsequent Gaza war.

In December 2023, two months after the Oct. 7 attack, Seinfeld traveled to Israel on a solidarity visit with his wife, Jessica Seinfeld. He met with families of Israeli hostages and called for the immediate release of the 251 hostages held by Hamas in Gaza.

Seinfeld later explained that his connection to Israel began long before the attack. He first visited the country as a teenager and worked on a kibbutz.

“I have loved the Jewish homeland ever since working on a kibbutz at 16,” Seinfeld wrote in an Instagram post. “My heart is broken by the atrocities, but we are strong in heart and soul."

In an interview, Seinfeld also described being deeply affected by the human tragedy in Israel following Oct. 7.

Seinfeld has confronted anti-Israel activists on several occasions in the United States. In June, a man approached him at an NBA game and asked him to say “Free Palestine” on camera.

Seinfeld laughed and responded, “It doesn’t exist.” The exchange circulated on TikTok, where one anti-Israel activist shared the video with his 180,00 followers and the message: "This clown hasn't been relevant for decades."

The confrontations have not deterred Seinfeld from publicly supporting Israel and the Jewish people. He has often used humor to respond to hecklers, once saying sarcastically during an attempt to disrupt his stand-up show, "It's exciting, I love it. I love a little Jew hatred to spice up a show."

Beyond his comedic responses, Seinfeld has also spoken about what he views as antisemitism concealed within anti-Israel activism. In September 2025, at a Duke University event, he compared “Free Palestine” activists with the Ku Klux Klan.

“Free Palestine is, to me, just – you’re free to say you don’t like Jews. Just say you don’t like Jews,” Seinfeld said, according to the student newspaper The Duke Chronicle.

“By saying Free Palestine, you’re not admitting what you really think,” the Hollywood star continued. “So it’s actually – compared to the Ku Klux Klan, I’m actually thinking the Klan is actually a little better here because they can come right out and say, ‘We don’t like Blacks, we don’t like Jews.’ Okay, that’s honest,” Seinfeld noted.
