Belgian teen prodigy headed to Israeli university to join research
Laurent Simons, a 16-year-old Belgian prodigy with a doctorate in quantum physics, is moving to Israel to join research laboratories at Bar-Ilan University, Y-Net reported.
Simons, who completed high school at age 8 and earned his master's degree by 12, recently co-authored a research paper published in the journal Nature.
The move follows his close ties with Israel, including a recent meeting with Israeli Ambassador in Belgium, David Saranga.
