Why there had to be a war on Trump’s watch

We’ve all heard the saying, “Never make a promise you can’t keep, especially if circumstances are not within your power to control.” That’s what Donald Trump should have realized when committing to the concept of no future wars, in his last presidential campaign.

Instead, he built an impossible expectation which could not be realized, because, when it came to Iran, everything had been pointing to a crescendo whose intensity would reach its peak, precisely during the coming four-year presidential term when Trump would be at the helm.

So, as enticing as it sounded, the unrealistic pledge, which could not be met, has only ended up disappointing many MAGA supporters, not to mention used by Trump’s detractors as a great miscalculation.

But it wasn’t only Trump who wrongly believed that an impending war would not demand his immediate attention. It was also the oblivious disregard by his constituency, who failed to realize that they share the planet with extremist Muslims, whose greatest aim has been to control all of humanity.

When Trump took office in January, 2026, Iran was already dangerously close to completing its project which would finally catapult them to a place of dominance over all mankind – through the nuclear weapons they hoped to develop. So, it wasn’t just an abstract threat that could be placed on the back burner for the next administration.

Now, at a time when 50% of all Americans say that they do not support a Middle East war with Iran, assisted by China, Russia, Syria, Hezbollah and the Houthis, they are forced to confront the inevitable – that this was a battle waiting to happen on Trump’s watch, because time had simply run out.

On a recent broadcast, Sen. Lindsay Graham lamented that had someone paid attention to the warning signs, which were already flashing in 1935, it might have been possible to stop Hitler’s rise to power, preventing the devastating effects of WWII. If we’ve learned anything from history, it’s that waiting until it’s too late to act, is a grave mistake, resulting in the loss of millions of lives.

Regrettably, this is not something that Americans have been able to internalize. Life in their protective bubble doesn’t register that there are bloodthirsty terrorists 6500 miles away, who are focused on making their twisted ideology the pre-eminent force for every human being.

Unlike Westerners, they are not concerned over high prices and the cost of living or how AI might adversely affect their careers. In fact, the quality of their lives is irrelevant. More important to them is their fervent devotion to making sure that all bow the knee to Allah.

This is the great clash of civilizations which has resulted in a final showdown. As pointed out by Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, Iran is a country run by religious fanatical lunatics with a deadly agenda.

Repulsed by the Western values of freedom, democracy, independent thinking and individual choice, mullahs, instead, view that lifestyle as ungodly, immoral and contrary to their preferred brand of Shia Islam.

When faced with the possibility of losing all liberties, America, headed by Trump, chose to take advantage of the small window of opportunity left to them, before Iran has completed its mission to obtain nuclear weapons.

By stopping them in their tracks, the Trump administration has ensured that American generations, to come, will no longer be bullied by the threat of Iranian mullahs who live to see the day that they’ve subdued the world’s superpower.

But this war is justified for another reason. At a time when so many are obsessively focused upon marginalized people and oppressed societies, this is the golden moment to end a regime that brutally imprisoned, tortured and slaughtered its own people for having refused subservience to their barbaric leaders.

Wouldn’t the Woke and Progressive segment of America see this as their moral obligation to liberate those victims who have languished under the heavy hand of a tyrannical autocrat?

If not, aren’t they exposing their own hypocritical character, built on a phony and insincere empathy for the pain and suffering of others? Is their feigned virtue-signaling simply a useful tool, pulled out, when trying to impress others or conform to group think? Are they unable to stand alone and be guided by their individual conscience or must they defer to that of the collective?

Perhaps doing so would force them to recognize the real oppressors or admit that Hamas began a cruel war which victimized so many.

America has engaged in this war, while they still could. It was a can that could no longer be kicked down the road, because Iran was already at the end of their nuclear capabilities’ mission.

So, knowing that, why would Trump have promised no new wars, especially since the likelihood of negotiating a non-proliferation treaty with Iran was non-existent?

Let’s face it. Even his art-of-the-deal prowess could not bring about peace with radical Islamists, whose only goal is to rule the world? If they are willing to be martyred for that cause, believing that a great reward awaits them in the next life, what incentive do they really have to make peace or compromise their goals?

But when you think about it, this really is not a new war. It’s just the continuation of a 47-year stronghold which failed to last, because people will always choose freedom over enslavement.

What must change, at this point, is the mindset of the 50% of Americans who falsely believe that they will always be shielded from tyranny and living under the control of a despot.

The world has changed dramatically, and those who remain apathetic to the warning signs could easily find themselves forced into the same global dominance by the invaders who were permitted to illegally sneak into their country, for the purpose of importing their way of life on an unsuspecting citizenry.

This is the battle that is before the American people. The time to wake up is now. For them, it’s 1935, and the valuable lessons of history must be learned. The actions taken by President Trump in 2026 could not be put off until 2030!
