Macron, you asked for it, you got it – A Palestinian state

As the expression goes – be careful what you ask for, because it may not work out so well. Surely that must have crossed the mind of French president Emmanuel Macron over the past few days.

The date was September 22, 2025 when he uttered those fateful words…
“France recognizes the State of Palestine.”

Just a little over one year later, Paris is burning, Lyons and Marseilles are chaotic, Jewish owned shops destroyed, department stores looted, trash and litter cover French streets, monuments burnt to the ground, more than a thousand arrested, the Palestinian flag has been hoisted next to the tricolor flag of France, and there doesn’t seem to be any let-up in sight.

Someone might call it karma, but I call it the biblical law of reciprocity. Bless Israel and you get blessed. Curse Israel and you get cursed. The divine reaction to one’s original action is unavoidable.

Ironically, Macron very likely chose to make that ill-advised recognition to placate the millions of Muslim voters who, undoubtedly, applied just enough pressure to worry the French president over the possibility of losing his job.

But, in the game of political survival, trying to please your electorate may very well end up angering the Almighty, who doesn’t take it lightly when someone crosses His people and His land. Clearly, that’s exactly what ensued when Macron decided to declare his country’s recognition of Palestine.

A flame of words has now turned into a ravaging fire, which doesn’t seem extinguishable, causing everyone to wonder if the calm and beauty of Paris ever return.

What supposedly began as a protest against poor educational conditions, inadequate public services and other grievances, quickly morphed into widespread anarchy, taking on a life form of chaotic rebellion, where only destruction was the goal.

A recent X post portrays two men eating croissants at a French sidewalk café on October 2023. When they spot some unruly mobs nearby, one man says to the other, “Relax, it’s not about us, it’s about Israel.” Fast forward to 2024, and the mob has grown in size.  The man asks, “Is it still about Israel?” The second man answers, “Mostly.” Fast forward to 2026, as the same café becomes the site of a firebomb. At that point, the realization of what it is, hits hard.

Nothing could more accurately describe Macron’s apparent indifference to what was brewing in his own backyard. Now, shocked by the sudden degeneration into utter chaos and anarchy, the president’s harsh response, stating that “everyone who looted will have to pay back what they stole, and those who caused damage will be held to accountability,” comes a bit too late.

Macron received a taste of what he expected Israel to absorb if a Palestinian state would, indeed, be formally established alongside of the Jewish state.

There is a reason that most every Arab country on the face of the earth does not want to take in the people of Gaza. Knowing who they are, how they’ve been programmed to think and what damage they are capable of executing, these countries have taken a hard pass on allowing them entrance.

So, it’s no wonder that the leaders of nations, who have recognized a Palestinian state, are now getting a good idea of what it feels to live inside of one. That would apply to the U.K., who on September 21, 2025, likewise, made the same mistake as France, paving the way for massive unrest in their midst as well.

In fact, that same year saw 157 UN member states follow suit, officially recognizing Palestine as a state. Those European, Caribbean and North American countries, along with Australia, have struggled with deep unrest, rampant crime and pockets of uprising since that time.

But what’s currently happening in France makes all the other conflicts pale by comparison, because this has turned into a well-organized, funded rebellion, aided by the help of social media, where posts advise the best ways to avoid arrest while taunting local police.

The raising of Palestinian flags, throughout France, attests to the will of Muslim migrants, whose goal is to dominate the once majority Catholic nation that thought opening their doors to an incompatible civilization was the humane thing to do. How has that working out for them?

With French elections fast approaching on April 18, 2027, how will the native-born electorate respond, after seeing their country turn into a third-world banana republic, whose government is unstable and whose president is weak and ineffective?

Macron has paved the way for a far-right, heavy-handed government to take control, utilizing extreme measures to contain a population that has gone wild, employing violence and terror.

Short of enforced curfews and even Martial Law, there will be no way to constrain the anarchy which has been unleashed upon the citizens of France.  Regrettably, Macron could not foresee what his declaration would birth. The chaos has overpowered whatever semblance of calm that once rested over one of the most beloved travel destinations.

Perhaps, this is what was meant by the scripture, recorded by King Solomon, which so graphically describes what happens when you embrace real danger. "Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?" Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?" Proverbs 6:27, 28.

All of what is happening on the streets of France, and other geographic locations, is the byproduct of taking fire (in the form of people who do not live in accordance with Western laws) into the bosom of their societies, placing everyone in mortal danger as things escalate.

When terrorizing populations becomes the norm, that’s when the soul-searching begins. What led up to it? How did things disintegrate so quickly, and why were local authorities unable to contain the fire that raged uncontrollably?

In this case, one doesn’t have to look far to understand how we got to this point. The declaration of one man was the final nail in the coffin, setting off an unstoppable chain reaction.

It is the result of taking divine matters into your own hands, standing in the place of the Almighty and stating your will over His when it comes to Israel. Macron’s Palestinian state has come back to haunt him in a way that will surely be his own undoing.
