It's time to say bye-bye to Western culture unless someone fights back
Everyone has been warning that this would happen. The indicators are legion. As of a year ago, more than a quarter of a million Somalis were living in Minnesota, according to the Census Bureau.
Journalist Nick Shirley, who recently visited there, hoped to interview some of them in the wake of an enormous scandal involving a billion dollars, which was fraudulently doled out to their community during the COVID epidemic. Unfortunately, he never got the chance to hear from them, since none spoke English.
At Portland’s annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony, held two weeks ago, the event was quickly hijacked by a woman waving a Palestinian flag and taking advantage of the platform that she had seized. The crowd, including those who were live-streaming, heard her declare that “a full-blown genocide was happening.”
It’s anyone’s guess as to the intent of that accusation, but given that her next act was to lead the audience into a “Free, free Palestine” chant, it wasn’t too hard to figure out where she was going. In the end, what was supposed to be the observance of an American Christian tradition instead became another anti-Western, anti-Israel shouting fest.
As many videos of Muslim protesters, showing up en masse at Christmas markets in Brussels, Stockholm, and other European locales, began to surface over the past few days, Internet reports claimed these gatherings have been taken out of context. Nonetheless, it’s hard to debunk the photos that are being disseminated, showing Palestinian flags being waved at those events as thousands gather.
Muslims migrants aren't interested in Western culture
But whether or not they are authentic, one thing is certain. The vast majority of Muslim migrants who have settled in Europe, the US, or Australia do not seem to have any desire to assimilate into Western culture.
That is evidenced by their refusal to communicate in the language of the country where they live, wear the accepted clothing of that society, or display any evidence of patriotism for their new home.
This is not a new phenomenon. As early as 2011, the Brookings Institution think tank noticed that “slow progress was being made on Muslim integration.” Whether it’s due to their belief that to do so is “compromising with secular influences,” or some other reason, the result is the clashing of two diversely different cultures with very opposing viewpoints. Since then, the problem has only worsened as “Muslim gangs, who harbor a hatred for Western culture and believe Islam is the answer for all, bear a visceral and violent antisemitic hatred for Israel and Jews.”
We’ve seen this hostility demonstrated at sports events, such as what occurred in Amsterdam at a soccer game; now it has spread to religiously traditional events, like the annual lighting of Christmas trees.
Rather than Westerners affecting Muslim migrants, in terms of accepting the customs, habits, and shared sentiments of their new home, the opposite is happening.
Overpowering the existing environment
Joined by the woke segment of society, as well as the up-and-coming generation of kids whose parents were the first to migrate, they have found natural supporters and sympathizers who reject all things Western and view these societies with contempt.
Their goal is to overpower the existing environment, as they do away with all of the pillars and foundational standards that have built these countries. That includes Judeo-Christian tenets, based on the scriptures, and the laws that govern nations, which are also rooted in the biblical Ten Commandments – the moral code to which civilized people respect and adhere. Sadly, there is no longer the healthy tolerance of others that has been a hallmark fostering successful coexistence.
But it’s not only a blatant rejection of these standards that we are seeing. It is a militant type of entitlement that is emerging loudly. Initially starting by taking over whole neighborhoods, demanding that law enforcement keep their distance from those areas, it then spills over into the battle for complete dominance.
In a YouTube clip featuring a discussion between political commentator Douglas Murray and Son of Hamas author Mosab Hassan Yousef, Murray asks how Muslims in other countries have been able to get away with remaining as they are, refusing to blend into the local population. (Yousef, the son of Hamas’s founder, has turned away from terror and violence.)
Yousef makes the case that people, for fear of being called Islamophobic, have failed to challenge their overreach as they seek to impose their way of life on everyone else. Westerners, he says, are submitting to Muslim intimidation. He adds that their seventh-century mentality, as an alternative to modern Western society, is then protected by their claims of freedom of speech.
Essentially, they’ve cleverly co-opted the laws of their adopted nations to further their own agendas, taking advantage of the freedom found in their respective countries.
Battle of cultures
Yousef says that the invented term, “Palestinian,” is nothing more than an anti-West ideology. He concludes that they are anti-success and anti-civilization, because their preference is to feed off of chaos.
There is no question that the migration of Muslims, who hold very strong views that emanate from their religion and culture, is in direct conflict with Western values. Ironically, if you do an AI search about these Islamists’ intent to conquer Western civilization, it will respond by saying that such a claim is based on a conspiracy theory.
But as local authorities are challenged, the character of these societies takes on a very different nature. The balance of power comes into question, whether due to fear or an ill-advised overcompensation of tolerance by Westerners who believe they must capitulate. The result is a weakening of the dominant culture and its values.
This is what has been done deliberately and, unfortunately, with the help of local citizens whose idea of liberalism has enabled these newcomers to bury the treasured past and recreate their own culture in Western countries. While few saw this coming, migrants took advantage of the naiveté and generosity of unsuspecting people.
Now it’s here, and no one can deny its devastating effects. Reversing it, if that’s even possible, will require a battle to recapture what was taken. Unless some are willing to wage it, they can say, “Bye-bye to Western culture.”
