Counterfeit

Many a cashier has accepted counterfeit currency in exchange for his goods. Duped by the artful deception, he has only lost in the criminal exchange. But it was not until he was informed by his watchful banker, trained in discerning the real from the fake, did he realize his loss. The bearer of the counterfeit note will enter with a smile to disarm any doubt in his unsuspecting victim. Only when it is too late will the victim realize that he has been cleverly robbed.

The counterfeit is an artful departure from the real. A counterfeit may be offered in currency, art, political philosophy, or religion. Especially the latter. Though political philosophies such as materialistic and atheistic Communism promising Heaven on Earth have produced the very opposite, with mass murder and misery and poverty for all, it is religious philosophy that most shapes and shakes the foundation of human society.

The ancient religion of the Jews extends back at least three thousand years, if not more. Its historic presence is carved in stone for all to see in an actual geographic location, and its history and religion inscribed on parchments discovered at that location as evidence, its presence still felt. The Jews do not proselytize and seek no converts, but their message has gone forth to alter the world by way of one of its sons whose deeds were recorded in the New Testament, laying a foundation for an equitable and healthy society amongst men.

Yet the counterfeits soon arose and set themselves as antagonists against the Jews from whom they had received the very gift, erecting a counterfeit Jerusalem in Rome, filled with idols carved of Jewish men and women to whom they prayed. They claimed to have replaced the Jews, whom God had rejected. This led to centuries of antisemitism. expulsions, crusades, pogroms, and finally culminated in the Holocaust, encouraged by the writings of the devout Christian reformer Martin Luther.

Then six centuries later arose another counterfeit in the Arabian desert, birthed by an illiterate Bedouin. His visions bore the stamp of plagiarism, lifted directly from the texts of the Jews, but altered to fit his new narrative to be published abroad, in antipathy of the Jews.  Such Biblical texts as Abraham bringing his son Isaac to be offered on Mount Moriah was changed to  Ishmael, Mohammed's progenitor, now being one of Islam's central holy days. Furthermore, the new prophet proclaimed that Jesus was not crucified, and is not the son of God. The claim is that the Jews and the Christians had changed and corrupted the texts, and Mohammed was sent to correct them, and to replace the Jews as the final prophet of Allah, also a counterfeit in divine character and ethic. Ironically, two thousand year-old scrolls discovered in Israel in 1947 show that no change was ever made in the texts. The Jews did not buy into this counterfeit and were thus butchered and persecuted by the devout followers of the illiterate Arab- to this very day.

It is no great surprise, then, that the sons of Ishmael continue their Holy War - Jihad - against all that arose from the Jews. The religion of Mohammed was spread far and wide by fear and the very convincing edge of the sword. Today, with great stealth and charm and a smile, this great counterfeit has now penetrated and infiltrated the formerly Christian West in order to fulfill its focused supremacist vision of an Islamic world caliphate. And the post-Christian liberal West is being hypnotized into submission.

Today that counterfeit comprises more than 20% of the population of the Earth, whereas the Jews are a mere 0.2% fraction of humanity. But despite that fact, raging antipathy toward them and the one tiny Jewish state remains the target of unending virulent and irrational hatred. The counterfeit, having zero value, cannot tolerate the presence of the genuine, for "Salvation," said Jesus of Nazareth, "is of the Jews."
