A vison from God to break the curse of darkness over Iran
A few days ago, I received a message from a friend, a long-time European intercessory leader with more than 30 years of experience working and praying for world leaders. He shared a prophetic dream he had about Iran. With the war against the Islamic Republic this was very timely but also personal.
“Good morning, Marzi. I hardly have what I would consider prophetic dreams but last night I woke up in the middle of a dream and was awake for the next three hours. My way of processing information is through data and analysis and not through dreams, but this was entirely different.
Since the dream touched me so deeply, I want to share it. As I asked the Lord what it meant, I heard the famous words, “Help is on the way,” but with the addition “not by might, nor by power but by my Spirit, says the Lord.”
The dream: I was part of a large crowd of people (millions) who lived in fear and suppression and whenever anyone tried to break free, they were immediately caught. Suddenly the crowd of people changed into a harvest field and there was an expectation that something would change. I started to look around, sensing that help was on the way. I saw / sensed that there was a quiet wind that came over the (harvest) field (of people) and suddenly it turned into a mighty storm which liberated and transformed the people, both the oppressed and the oppressor. It all happened so suddenly and overwhelmingly.”
My friend’s dream immediately reminded me the vision that God gave me a few years ago about breaking the curse of darkness over Iran and destroying the Islamic Republic’s satanic power. Like Joshua, who was able to bring down the walls of Jerico with prayers, God showed me the big darkness over Iran needed to be broken by prayer. “God commanded the Israelites to conquer Jericho by marching around the fortified city, accompanied by priests blowing rams' horns (shofars) and carrying the Ark of the Covenant. On the seventh day, they marched around seven times, shouted upon command, and the walls collapsed.”
In my vision he showed me that Iran has borders with seven countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Turkmenistan. To break the darkness of the Islamic Republic, we need to have at least seven Christians in those seven countries to fast and pray for seven days: against the evil, their witchcraft, and the curse that has kept Iranian people in chains.
For more than 47 years the Islamic regime is using witchcraft through sacrificing the blood of innocent people to stay in power. God revealed this to me when I was living in Iran encountering those sorcerers working for Iran’s leaders. I shared one personal encounter in my book “A Love Journey with God.” God revealed to me that this satanic curse will only be destroyed by the power of prayer.
Today, with a military campaign challenging the ayatollahs’ power and tens of millions of Iranians praying for their freedom, I invite Christians to join me, prayer warriors across America, to lend their voices and prayers against the Islamic regime. We also need to find a few Christians in those seven countries to stand with us praying at the same time. In America and western countries Christians can gather in front of the embassies of the Islamic regime for seven days, in unity with others. The power of our prayers is the spiritual ammunition that will break that curse over Iran, facilitating the military victory.
After I became a Christian in Iran in 1999, God started talking to me through many dreams. In some of my dreams he would give me a message and in others he would show me a prophetic scene that would reveal the meanings later. I used to write all my dreams because I knew God had a reason to give me all those dreams and visions. Even inside prison, God showed His power to prisoners and guards through my dreams and prayers.
I shared some of those prophetic dreams in “A Love Journey with God.” In one dream, he showed me Tehran’s Assembly of God church – the only church that people from Muslim background would attend - had been destroyed. I attend that church occasionally, but the regime closed it because Iranian Muslims becoming Christians threatens the Islamic regime.
In my dream, I was walking among the ruins of that church. Then two angles appeared with a huge key in their hands. They gave it to me and said we will give the key to the church of Iran in your hands. Keep it.” I did not understand the meaning of my dream. But I knew I should write it down. Later, in America, God gave me different visions about how to turn Iran to a Christian country based on God’s promise in Jeremiah 49:38-39 which is about God’s vow to break Elam’s military power, scatter its people among the nations, and set His throne there. In another dream “God showed me standing on top of a big mountain in Iran. I had a cane in my left hand and below the mountain there were millions of Iranians standing. The sky was so dark. Darkness had covered the whole country. I raised my right hand to the sky and started praying for my country and my people while I was looking at the sky. Everyone was looking at the sky and waiting for a miracle. Suddenly a big light came and took away all the darkness. Everyone could see that miracle. People were cheering and were released from darkness. It was God’s miracle which broke the curse and darkness over my country through prayer. “
Now, I see a connection between all my dreams and visions that God gave me. God has called me to stand up for my people, to tell the truth about the evil nature of the Islamic regime, expose their lies and their agents in our country, but also to unite Christians to pray in unity to break this curse and free Iranians from their captivity. They need to see their true savior, Jesus.
After being sentence to death because of my faith in Jesus and being released in 2009 due to God’s miracle and international pressure on the Islamic regime, I immigrated to America. Since then, I could not forget about the suffering of my people. I carried a heavy burden in my heart for Iranians who are still suffering every day.
In America, I learned about the infiltration of the Islamic regime’s agents. I witnessed how the same enemy who ruined the beautiful country of Iran, its culture, and the future of many youth and now has targeted American youth. How can I rest and enjoy my freedom while the enemy whose tactics I am very familiar with is working so hard to destroy our Judeo-Christian values, democracy, and American youth. I cannot stop warning my fellow Americans about this evil enemy that is growing in our country.
