World stands at ‘decisive moment’ as Iran’s missiles threaten London, Paris & NY, warns former Israeli Amb. Erdan

Erdan thanks ‘Christian brothers and sisters’ for life-saving support for Israel

With the Iranian regime oppressing its citizens while threatening the entire world, the Trump administration is now at a “decisive” moment, former Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Gilad Erdan warned while addressing a crowd of Evangelicals gathered at the National Religious Broadcasters’ Conference (NRB) in Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday.

Erdan expressed his deep appreciation for Christian support for the Jewish state during the annual Breakfast to Honor Israel.

“As God promised Abraham, ‘I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you,’ for thousands of years that promise has guided history. As I look around this room, I see men and women who have chosen to stand on the side of blessing,” Erdan said.

The former Israeli ambassador to the U.S. and UN has led several government ministries, including Strategic Affairs, National Security and the Interior Ministry. He attended the gathering on Thursday in his current capacity as president of Magen David Adom (MDA), Israel’s largest emergency medical service.

“As Israel's only national emergency medical response system, MDA is the backbone of our resilience,” Erdan noted, adding that its capabilities are “built also by faithful friends… including our Christian brothers and sisters.”

“When a life is saved in Israel, thanks to our Christian allies, the strategy of our radical Islamist enemies collapses,” he added.

He also addressed the ongoing tensions with Iran amid reports that a significant U.S. strike against the Islamic Republic could be imminent.

“As we gather here in Nashville, history is being written in Washington. President Trump stands at a crossroad that will shape the future of the Middle East and beyond, whether to compromise with a cancerous evil that has poisoned the region for 47 years, or to confront the Ayatollah regime.”

“It is a direct threat to all of us,” Erdan stressed. “They're international. Intercontinental ballistic missiles are not meant for Jerusalem, by the way. We are on the same continent with them. They are meant for London, Paris, New York and Washington. The Ayatollah regime is not just Israel's problem. It's the free world's problem.”

Hours after Erdan’s speech, The Wall Street Journal reported that U.S. President Donald Trump is weighing an “initial limited military strike” intended to pressure the regime into concessions before potentially expanding the campaign.

The limited strike could come “within days,” the newspaper reported, while Trump told reporters traveling on Air Force One that he would give Iran 10-15 days to reach a deal with the United States.

“We stand at a decisive moment. Negotiate or act. Talk or strike. Make a deal or deal a blow,” Erdan cautioned. “If history has taught us anything about the Iranian regime, it is this. While they sit at negotiating tables, their centrifuges keep spinning as they smile for the cameras. Their missiles keep advancing when they speak of peace.”

The former ambassador said that Trump now faces a fateful decision while noting, “No decision of historic magnitude is made without accountability before God.”

Erdan urged the Evangelicals gathered at the conference to “do what believers have always done. When history stands at the crossroads, let's pray. Let's pray that President Trump is guided by wisdom from above, that he sees clearly the difference between illusion, danger, and real hope, and that he acts to protect freedom and secure a safer future for our children.”

Erdan concluded, “As long as we stand united, Jews and Christians together, our enemies will falter and we will flourish.”

“May God bless you. May He strengthen your ministries. May He protect your families. May He grant wisdom to the leaders of Israel and the United States. May He bring peace to Jerusalem. And may God bless the unbreakable alliance between Jews and Christians.”
