Likud lawmaker warns: Tucker Carlson & Candace Owens are 'a threat to America as much as Israel’

Knesset Member Dan Illouz of the Likud party addressed the Israeli Parliament in English on Monday, warning of “a new enemy rising” within the West. 

Illouz, a member of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, called out so-called conservative media personalities Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens, saying they “are not only antisemites but also promote anti-Western values.” 

“I stand here in Jerusalem, the eternal capital of the Jewish people, to sound an alarm,” began Illouz, who immigrated to Israel from Canada.

From the Knesset podium, I called out the fraud: Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens are not fighting the Woke Left—they have become them. They are intellectual vandals peddling poison.

“We are used to enemies from outside,” he continued, “But today, I look at the West, our greatest ally, and I see a new enemy rising from within.” 

Illouz spoke about “a poison being sold to the American people as patriotism,” before saying, “I'm speaking of the intellectual vandalism of Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens.” 

Illouz noted that despite the two media personalities claiming to “fight the woke left,” the two have spread misinformation and hate. He pointed to Carlson’s promotion of authors who offer a revisionist perspective on World War II, and to Owens’ characterization of the roots of Jewish faith as “demonic.” 

“It is the same sickness. It is the same moral relativism,” Illouz continued. “It is the same hatred of the West dressed up in a different costume.” 

Saying that Carlson “rewrites the 20th century” by casting the heroes of World War II as the villains, Illouz claimed that the talk show host is attempting to “erase the line between good and evil.” 

Furthermore, he accused Owens of spreading “the sickest blood libels claiming this state was founded by pedophiles and Frankists.” 

“She does not know history. She does not know the Bible. She only knows how to peddle hate,” Illouz added. 

He then addressed the two media personalities directly.

“I have a message for these vandals,” Illouz said. “Do you think you are the first to try to delegitimize the Jewish people? We are the people of eternity.” 

“We buried the pharaohs who enslaved us. We buried the Greeks who tried to ban our Torah. We buried the Romans who burned our temple,” he said, listing historical enemies of the Jewish people. “We danced on the ruins of the Third Reich. And we will be here long after your YouTube channels are forgotten dust.” 

According to Illouz, Carlson and Owens will not be able to “break the bond between America and Israel.” 

“This alliance is not just about treaties or weapons. It is about two nations who hold the torch of liberty while the rest of the world falls into darkness,” he argued. 

“Together, we have built iron domes that stop missiles. Together, we have developed technologies that feed the world. Together we protect the values of freedom, democracy, and of the Bible against the barbarians at the gates,” he continued. 

Speaking directly to the American public, Illouz urged them to "reject the lies" of Carlson and Owens, saying, “Do not listen to the voices of defeat.” 

“The story of America and Israel is not over,” Illouz stated. “It is just beginning. We have achieved miracles together and we will achieve greater miracles yet. Reclaim your heritage. Reject the lies. Stand with us. When we stand together, Jerusalem and Washington, no force on earth can defeat us. Am Israel Chai!”
