Israeli drone manufacturer rebuilds after Iranian strike as global demand surges

Israeli drone manufacturer Aero Sentinel has nearly restored production at its Petah Tikvah facility after it was damaged by an Iranian missile strike in April, and is now expanding procurement and preparing to increase production amid strong global demand for its unmanned aircraft.

A report by Defense One said production at the damaged facility has been almost fully restored. In July, the company purchased large quantities of components needed for its signature platforms, including cameras, electro-optical sensors and ultra-low-noise engines that allow its drones to operate close to their targets without being detected.

The drones produced by Aero Sentinel are in high demand among military, law enforcement and private security forces worldwide. The company reports having a large order book and is looking to expand its production infrastructure and hire more workers to keep up with demand. It is also committed to keeping its manufacturing base in Israel, preserving local production capacity and jobs.

The latest upgrades Aero Sentinel is offering its rapidly expanding customer base include aircraft equipped with sensors that can determine the drone’s location using its onboard computer rather than relying on GPS, which can fail or be jammed by adversaries in contested environments. New software under development is also expected to allow the drones to feed information into central command-and-control nodes in real time, enabling commanders to make battlefield decisions more rapidly and with greater confidence.

The company says its latest units will be unveiled in November at UVID Dronetech 2026, an international unmanned-systems conference that brings together drone manufacturers, defense officials and investors.

Israel’s defense industry has built a global reputation, particularly in drone technology, after nearly three years of combat experience against the Islamic Republic of Iran and its regional terror proxies. Aero Sentinel is part of a broader Israeli drone industry that has expanded rapidly as battlefield experience drives growing demand for both unmanned systems and the technologies used to counter them.
