Iran presents footage from Dimona and Israeli nuclear scientists
Iranian media on Wednesday quoted the country’s Intelligence Minister, Esmail Khatib, as claiming that the Islamic Republic has obtained documents and other materials from sensitive Israeli facilities.
Khatib said his ministry managed to acquire “a vast volume of documents” thanks to cooperation from individuals inside Israel – including security institutions, nuclear workers, and even ordinary citizens. According to the Iranian Intelligence Minister, the cooperation was motivated by two main factors: financial compensation and personal hatred toward Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Iranian media outlets allegedly presented footage from Dimona, along with personal information on 189 Israeli nuclear scientists and experts “involved in the Zionist regime’s atomic bomb project.”
In June 2025, “well-informed sources” claimed that Iranian security services had obtained a large number of “sensitive strategic documents related to Israel, including thousands of documents tied to Israeli projects and nuclear facilities.”
According to those sources, the operation to acquire the documents had been completed some time ago, but due to the massive volume of materials – and the need to transfer them securely to Iranian territory – the matter had been kept secret until now.
It was also reported that Iranian intelligence ultimately succeeded in transferring the documents to “secure locations.” The sources added that the corpus of documents is so large that examining them – including reviewing the attached images and videos – could take a long time.
