Since Israel began its strikes on Iran, its terrorist allies have taken very little military action in support of Iran.

“While Hezbollah and Iran-backed militias have condemned Israel’s actions, they have so far held their fire – each for its own reasons,” Ynet News reported. “Only the Houthis in Yemen have continued sporadic launches toward Israel, though at a lower rate than before the war.”

Mahmoud Qamati, the deputy chairman of Hezbollah’s Political Council, said that while they support Iran, Hezbollah believes Iran “can defend itself.”

“We stand with Iran politically, in the media, and publicly,” he said. “Iran has not asked us for military support – it can defend itself.”’

Hezbollah’s response to the strikes in Iran is notably different than its reaction to Israel’s military operations in Gaza.

After Israel began its invasion of Gaza, Hezbollah began to launch thousands of rockets into Israel, causing much of northern Israel to be evacuated.

The difference in response is largely due to the success of Israeli operations against Hezbollah.

“Hezbollah has been degraded on the strategic level while cut off from supply chains in Syria,” military analyst Andreas Krieg told the Associated Press.

The Houthis have also condemned Israel’s strikes against Iran.

While launching several missiles at Israel since the strikes against Iran began, the Houthis have reacted similarly to Hezbollah.

Iran “has enough capabilities to respond, and it maintains extensive agreements and relations with many countries,” said the head of the Houthis’ Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat.
