Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen said he believes three more countries will move their embassies to Jerusalem soon.

Cohen made his remarks today at an event attended by representatives of the four countries which have their embassies in Israel's capital city; the United States, Honduras, Guatemala and Kosovo.

"Jerusalem is the capital of the Jewish people for more than 3,000 years," Cohen said.

The foreign affairs minister said he had a goal to get three more countries to move their embassies that he is "very optimistic that I will fulfill this goal."

He did not mention, however, which countries he expected to make the move.

Cohen's comments came one day before Jerusalem Day, when Israelis celebrate the reunification of Jerusalem in the Six Day War of 1967.
