Netanyahu touts plans to 'confront drone threat' while visiting Jordanian border
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel has plans to end the cross-border drone threat to the country's security while touring the new barrier that is under construction along the eastern border with Jordan.
Israel is building a “massive barrier, from the Yarmouk River to Eilat, we’re building this in addition to the security zones we have in , Lebanon, Syria, of course the Gaza Strip," Netanyahu said in a video published from his trip.
"But it is not just that,” he continued, “There are forces here, there is a work plan, there are plans for dealing with drones — I won’t elaborate. Simply maximum protection so that we can defend Israel’s citizens and not allow anyone to even think about invading Israel.”
“There is a huge amount of work here — enormous engineering work, enormous logistical work,” he added, “there is a mobilization of the IDF, there is a mobilization of the reserves. All this force is here to say to Israel’s enemies: Don’t test us.”
