What's the problem with a Palestinian state?
Aside from adding one more to the twenty-two already existing local Muslim states in the region, the creation of a Palestinian state would shave down the already tiny one Jewish state to an indefensible fifteen miles wide at its waist.
Furthermore, the area known for the last three thousand years as Judah (from which comes the word Jew) and Judea to the Roman occupiers in 70 AD, would suddenly become Judenrein- a Jew-free, Arab-only apartheid entity. Jews would be verboten from living in the places where their ancestors lived and are buried, such as Hebron wherein lay Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their wives, the progenitors of the Jewish people. And Schem (Nablus) where Joseph is buried would become forbidden to any Jew, along with the Mount of Blessing and of Cursing where Joshua and the Tribes of Israel entered the land and built the altar, not long ago discovered there. The thousands of Jewish people now living in their villages for some fifty years in those places would have to be transferred out of their homes and expelled from Judah, now renamed Palestine.
For the sake of political convenience, the area of Judah and Samaria have of late been renamed “the West Bank” by Israel’s adversaries, hoping to erase Jewish history from the region. However, the records of the Jewish people existing in the pages of the Bible witness otherwise.
Every inch of the so-called “West Bank” is saturated with the history of the Jews- from Bethlehem (a Hebrew word meaning ‘House of Bread’) where the Jews King David and Jesus were both born, to Shiloh where the tabernacle of God stood, to the Dead Sea where the ancient scrolls of the Hebrew Bible were discovered in 1947.
And Jerusalem (considered on "the West Bank" by the enemies of Israel), the capital of Israel since the time of King David and Solomon in the 10th century BC, is indisputably the center of Jewish history and thought. The Arabs living there must adjust to the reasonable fact and God-given right for Jews to live peacefully on those lands of their ancestors.
Especially since the devastation of the Holocaust, and the many cruel wars by Arab armies attempting unsuccessfully to annihilate the one Jewish nation "from the river to the sea."
Almost daily archaeologists are discovering remnants of historic Jewish presence in Jerusalem (aside from a continuous Jewish presence there throughout the ages, as even described in Mark Twain’s Innocents Abroad in 1867), including the signet rings of kings and scribes and prophets in the rubble where the two Jewish temples stood.
There is not a shred of so-called ancient Palestinian history anywhere in Judah and Samaria, but for the Philistines in Gaza. The name Palestinian arises from the Philistines, Plishtim in Hebrew, meaning “invaders and squatters,” the ancient adversaries of Israel, including Goliath defeated by David. The name Palestine was used to rename the Land of Israel after their enemies by the conquering Romans to disgrace the defeated Jews. In the 1st century AD texts of the New Testament there is no mention whatsoever of any Palestine, but of "the Land of Israel" (Matthew 2:20,21).
The concept of ‘Land for Peace’ was experimented with in 2005 when Israel completely withdrew all Jewish presence from Gaza, leaving the opportunity for Palestinians to create a thriving state of their own on the lovely Mediterranean coast, which was instead used to launch endless bloody jihad missiles and murderous terror attacks against the Jewish state, and the billions of dollars contributed to them instead used to create war tunnels and missiles. It has been their openly stated purpose not to create peace, but to destroy Israel.
From a strictly moral point of view, the awarding of a state to those who mercilessly performed the recent barbaric surprise attack and slaughter of 1,200 innocent Jewish civilians in October of 2023, for which Israel was obliged to respond forcefully in its self-defense as would any sovereign nation, is utterly immoral.
