The terrorists posing as journalists – just the latest antisemitic libel

In the well-played game of turning everyone against the Jewish state, it helps to fudge the numbers of dead to garner world sympathy for the side who insists that they are the oppressed underdog.

And while that ploy works for a while, the inconvenient truth eventually emerges, debunking the concocted lies that serve to cleverly turn a legitimate war into a sinister genocide.

Although not the first misrepresentation, it’s now been uncovered that 170 terrorists “who were misleadingly presented as civilian journalists killed in strikes on Gaza, were actually affiliated with Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) and other terrorist organizations.”

Of course, that crucial bit of information, which makes so much difference, will not find its way to the grieving masses who lament the fate of “innocent journalists” at the hands of the IDF.

But even if it did, they probably would not believe it since it plays into the deception that is obviously taking place by dishonest brokers, who desperately need to inflate the numbers of their dead to foment more hate for Israel.

Why would anyone expect anything different from professional terrorists, whose job is to kill, wound, torture, threaten and intimidate?

By fabricating stories, designed to tug at the heartstrings, these monsters can manipulate the masses to believe that the protruding bones of a malnourished toddler are the deliberate result of food deprivation, attributing it to a cruel Israeli army that lacks the conscience needed in order to be indifferent to human suffering.

Withholding the footage of thousands of humanitarian aid shipments, being trucked into Gaza, or by hiding Hamas operatives, who prevent ordinary Gazans from accessing food and goods meant for them, a completely different narrative can be advanced, focusing on the goal of demonizing the entire Jewish race.

Sadly, it works as an effective way to paint one side as the victims and the other side as the heartless subhumans, who deserve the barbaric massacre that was perpetrated on them three years ago.

Ironically, while everyone points to the lack of publicized information, coming from Israel, the real problem is not an insufficient amount of details or facts, but, rather, the fictionalized version of events, deaths and other reports which are constantly being manufactured, at lightning speed, all towards the goal of assassinating the good name and character of the State of Israel.

To counteract those massive efforts, Israel would have to monopolize the billboards of every major city, broadcast the true reality of what’s been going on 24/7 and drop leaflets from the sky into every geographic area.

Airplane banners would have to fly with concise messages that refute the fabrications. And television ads, along with cable programming, would have to flood the airwaves with public service announcements that set the record straight.

Would all that change the deluge of antisemitic fervor which has only picked up speed since its release? Unlikely, because this is so much bigger than a dispute of IDF actions.

While the latest charges of genocide is just a convenient cover story, what we are actually witnessing is the unleashing of an age-old hatred which was initiated thousands of years ago.

It came and went, from time to time, but with each outbreak, it was like a charging bull that could not be stopped or controlled. What usually began with an ugly accusation, surrounding the death of a person, somehow would be blamed on the entire local community of Jews, often resulting in their brutal killing.

Although it would eventually subside, there was no doubt that it would return, again, often with a greater level of brutality. What is happening today is merely another repeat of that depraved history, which even the most civilized societies can’t seem to prevent.

It took 80 years since the last organized campaign to exterminate all the Jews took place, and what we’re seeing now, is very consistent with the past.

A chronological history of major antisemitic events is recorded as follows:

Middle Ages and the Crusades

  • 1096 – Rhineland Massacres: Crusaders on their way to the Holy Land attacked Jewish communities in Worms, Mainz, and Köln (Cologne), forcing thousands to convert or face slaughter.

  • 1348–1351 – Black Death Persecutions: Jews were falsely blamed for poisoning European water wells during the plague, leading to the destruction of hundreds of Jewish communities across Europe via organized massacres.

  • 1492 – The Spanish Expulsion: The Spanish monarchy issued the Alhambra Decree, expelling all practicing Jews from the country under the Spanish Inquisition; a similar expulsion occurred in Portugal in 1497.

19th and Early 20th Centuries

  • 1881–1884 – Russian Pogroms: Following the assassination of Tsar Alexander II, state-condoned riots and violent outbreaks tore through the Russian Empire, destroying Jewish homes and property.

  • 1903 – Kishinev Pogrom: A brutal three-day riot in Kishinev (modern-day Moldova) resulted in dozens of Jewish deaths, hundreds of injuries, and widespread international outcry.

  • 1941 – The Farhud: A violent pogrom against the Jewish community of Baghdad, Iraq, broke out during a power vacuum, leaving hundreds dead. The Holocaust and Mid-20th Century

  • 1938 – Kristallnacht ("Night of Broken Glass"): Nazi paramilitary forces and civilians orchestrated a massive coordinated pogrom across Germany and Austria, shattering Jewish shop windows, burning synagogues, and arresting thousands.

  • 1941–1945 – The Holocaust: Nazi Germany systematically murdered six million European Jews across extermination and concentration camps in the state-sponsored genocide known as the Shoah.

  • 1968 – Polish Political Crisis: A state-sponsored antisemitic and anti-intellectual campaign in Communist Poland forced thousands of remaining Polish Jews to emigrate.

What’s interesting about all of these major persecutions against the Jewish people is that, with as civilized society progressed, the time frame actually was lessened from one antisemitic event to the next.

What does that say about supposedly “enlightened people” who have the benefit of history from which to learn? What is apparent is that mankind has not changed very much nor is the outlook very positive.

With the spread of radical Islam throughout Europe, the U.S., Canada, Australia and the U.K., the lies can be multiplied with greater acuity. There is, after all, a huge appetite for hearing the worst about Jews.  And when it comes to inventing juicy smears, there’s no shortage of takers.

But for anyone who is interested in setting the record straight, the killing of terrorists, posing as journalists, is just another libel in the continuation of a long-running series.
