The cost of losing a voice of truth

I write this from the standpoint of identity intersection. I am a Christian. I am a wife and mother. I am a strong advocate of the “now generation.” I am a Zionist. And each part of who I am was deeply grieved and horrified yesterday by the assassination of political commentator and prominent voice for biblical values, Charlie Kirk.
Charlie represented the purity of both America and the American church. Whenever a self-professing Christian comes into the public light, I am leery. I give it time—because time will expose the flesh: greed, pride, distortion of biblical truth labeled as “progress.” With Charlie, there was none of that. He truly loved God. He truly conducted his life and worldview through the lens of the unadulterated Word of God.
He called generations to radical living, championing what the world would label “defunct” or “archaic”—like abandoning selfishness and immaturity for marriage, God’s original plan for obedience to His first command: “Be fruitful and multiply.”
He defended the rights of the unborn, believing that every life is valuable because we are made in the image of our Creator, and standing firmly on the biblical principle that life begins at conception.
And he stood with unwavering devotion for the nation-state of Israel and the Jewish people. Why? Because he believed every word of God to be true. Because he had a genuine relationship with his Savior, who lived a Jewish life in the Land of the Bible. Because when God said there is blessing for those who bless Israel and cursing for those who curse Israel, he believed it. And when the Apostle Paul said that God’s gifts and calling for Israel are irrevocable, he believed it. Charlie believed every—single—word—of—God to be true. He didn’t stand blindly; he stood from a place of wisdom, understanding, and knowledge of Truth.
At only 31 years old, Charlie was rapidly becoming what America needs most: a father, calling America’s children to righteousness and then showing them the way.
Today, I grieve for his precious wife, who lost her best friend and hero. I grieve for his children, who will in time forget the presence of their father. I grieve for those who knew him intimately, as they have lost a piece of iron sharpening their iron. I grieve for our nation and our nation’s children. And I grieve for my daughters who, through God and because of the example of Charlie Kirk, had great hope for their generation.
And this one question runs through my mind: Who will be the next Charlie Kirk? You see, Charlie Kirk didn’t become “Charlie Kirk” overnight. That level of zeal, excellence, and purity is only forged in the fires of discipline. So, who will be the next Charlie Kirk?

Our culture is in decline. More of our young people each year are opting out of marriage and family in favor of the faux freedom that comes with detachment. Abortion rates increase with each passing year. And we are experiencing an alarming rise in antisemitism among self-professing Christian millennials and Gen Zers.
It’s time we hit our knees and cry out for our nation and for our children.
Because if we do not encourage, equip, and champion the next Charlie Kirk, the world will. And it will not raise men and women of truth, purity, and courage—it will raise leaders of deception, compromise, and destruction. The question is not whether the next generation will be led; the question is, who will lead them?
