For the second consecutive week, a newly opened downtown café became the center of massive demonstrations.
On one side, dozens of ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) protesters gathered to shout "Shabbes!" and demand the shop close in observance of the Jewish sabbath.
On the other side, hundreds of secular Jerusalem residents - joined by supporters from outside the city - flooded the café to protect the city's secular character.
