Saudis see 400% increase in Iranian missile and drone attacks since Operation Epic Fury began

Evangelicals, please pray for our Saudi friends and allies

While the United Arab Emirates and Israel are the target of most Iranian attacks since the decapitation strike on February 28, Tehran is now turning their firepower against a new foe.

What’s left of the Iranian regime has in recent days dramatically sharpened their focus and increased their attacks on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The good news: the Saudis are proving extremely effective in shooting down the incoming attacks with an air defense system better than Tehran may have guessed.

But I urge Evangelical Christians to pray for God to protect and have mercy upon the people and leaders of Saudi Arabia.

As of yesterday, Iran has fired 312 projectiles at the Sunni Kingdom, home of the two most revered cities in Islam, Mecca and Medina.

This includes 34 missiles and 278 drones.

Iranian attacks against the Kingdom have surged by 400%, according to Ibrahim Jalal, a Gulf based researcher and analyst.

According to Jalal’s research:

• The vast majority of Iranian attacks — 83% — are suicide drones.

• Most — 73% — are fired at Saudi’s ARAMCO oil facilities and the Prince Sultan Air Base.

• And most — 52% — of the attacks come at night.

Fortunately, 97.3% of the missiles and drones are being successfully shot down by Saudi defenses, Jalal notes.

This is keeping deaths, injuries, and damage minimal.
