Israel's official Mossad-affiliated 𝕏 account declares Khamenei is 'high' & unfit to lead Iran

The official 𝕏 social media account affiliated with Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency posted on Friday that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is unfit to lead the country, asserting that millions of Iranians are suffering as a result.
The "@MossadSpokesman" 𝕏 account further alleged that Khamenei spends his days sleeping and using drugs.
“How can a leader lead when they sleep half the day and spend the other half high on substances?” the post states in Farsi.
“Water, electricity, life!” it added, referencing Iran’s chronic shortages of essential services and ongoing human rights concerns under the ayatollah regime, which it described as oppressive and incompetent.
While the social media post did not explicitly name Khamenei, it was widely interpreted by Iranians as a reference to the country’s 86-year-old authoritarian leader. According to reports, the message post garnered over 180,000 views within 48 hours.
The @MossadSpokesman 𝕏 account is frequently used to deliver messages in Farsi directed at the Iranian public, and is often critical of the Iranian leadership. The account aims to undermine public confidence in the ruling regime.
Earlier this month, the Mossad-affiliated account highlighted the Iranian government’s decision not to disclose the identity of the new Khatam al-Anbiya commander, following the reported death of his predecessor, Gholam Ali Rashid, along with several senior military officials during Israel’s Operation Rising Lion in June.
“The Tasnim news agency announced that the Iranian regime will not publish the name of the new commander of Khatam al-Anbiya in order to protect him. Know that we know his actual name and are well acquainted with him. Unfortunately, such basic information is being hidden from the Iranian people. Please send us your guesses regarding his name,” the Mossad-linked account wrote on social media.
Some 2,300 Iranian social media users responded to the message with guesses and both positive and negative comments. Senior Iranian leaders, including the Supreme Leader’s son, Mojtaba Khamenei also responded to the message.
The following day, the @MossadSpokesman 𝕏 account responded to Behnam Golipour, an Iranian user who had reportedly correctly guessed that the newly appointed senior commander was Ali Abdollahi Aliabadi, who previously served as the deputy commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Air Force.
“The lucky winner who successfully guessed the ‘secret’ name is Mr. Behnam. Please contact us privately to receive your prize,” the Mossad-linked account wrote.
Golipour responded to the social media attention by stressing that he did not receive any rewards and was only interested in advancing freedom for the oppressed Iranian people.
“I do not receive money or compensation from any individual, institution or organization for the freedom of the Iranian people. I am independent and free. That’s why I can write here freely and without hesitation. For me, the freedom of the Iranian people is the greatest wish and the best reward,” Golipour wrote.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has, during multiple addresses to the Iranian people, emphasized the ayatollah regime’s brutality, incompetence and and squandering of resources on wars and terrorism instead of the welfare of the Iranian nation.
"You suffer under the rule of a regime that subjugates you and threatens us," Netanyahu stated during an address to Iranians in December 2024.
"Your oppressors spent over $30 billion supporting Assad in Syria, a regime which in just eleven days of fighting collapsed into dust," he continued. "Your regime spent over $20 billion supporting Hezbollah in Lebanon – in a matter of weeks, most of Hezbollah's leaders, its rockets, and thousands of terrorists went up in smoke."
