Israelis crowd COVID testing centers ahead of holiday
Israel expected to set a record for number of coronavirus tests in one day ahead of the Jewish new year which begins Monday night.
COVID testing centers were crowded with Israelis who wanted to get tested before joining prayers and family meals for Rosh Hashanah.
Last year’s holiday was spent in a national lockdown and extended families were not allowed to gather. This year there are no restrictions for gatherings in homes, but the green passport is required for joining prayers over 50 people.
