Israeli forces apprehend weapons dealer, crime family members in widespread crackdown across Judea and Samaria
Broad counter terror operation is aimed at preventing terror cells which fled the Jenin refugee camp from relocating
As part of counterterror operations in Judea and Samaria, Israeli security forces have made several arrests in recent days.
On Sunday, the IDF announced the arrest of Ahmad Nasrallah, a weapons dealer operating in Tulkarm, in the northwestern Samaria region.
Operating on intelligence from the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), Duvdevan soldiers arrested Nasrallah in the Irtah neighborhood of Tulkarm, before transferring him to Shin Bet for interrogation.

IDF troops, guided by the ISA, operated in the Irtah area and apprehended the terrorist. He has been transferred to the ISA for further questioning.
Palestinian social media accounts uploaded security camera footage of the arrest, in which Nasrallah was apprehended while driving two of his children to school.

The arrests come as part of Operation Five Stones, a counter terror operation aimed at preventing the development of Palestinian terror cells in northern and western Samaria.
On Monday, local Palestinian reports claimed that the IDF entered the town of Attil, north of Tulkarm, interrogating residents, and conducting searches within the town.

IDF units also re-entered the towns of Tubas and Aqaba, less then 24 hours after withdrawing from the area. Video on social media showed IDF helicopters and ground forces approaching the town of Tubas.
In a statement, the governor of Tubas said that the military had once again cleared several homes, setting up outposts there, while imposing roadblocks and curfews.
In the previous operations in Tubas and Tamun, IDF troops confiscated weapons, located observation rooms for spying on Israeli forces, located and destroyed explosives laboratories, and confiscated terror paraphernalia.
As the military has withdrawn most of its forces from Gaza, it has shifted its focus to the Palestinian territories in Judea and Samaria. The move follows several attacks by Palestinians against Jewish residents, as well as reports that Hamas and other Palestinian factions are attempting to establish terror cells in the area.
Shin Bet and IDF intelligence indicated that several terror cells that fled from the Jenin refugee camps during the military operations there earlier this year took up residence in Tubas and Tamun. The security establishment is attempting to prevent the cells from being able to establish themselves in Tubas and Tamun.
“The IDF and Shin Bet will not allow terrorism to take root in the area and are acting proactively to thwart it,” the agencies said in a statement.
At the same time as the broad counter terror operation in Judea and Samaria, Israel Police, in cooperation with the Border Police, conducted several arrests of Arabs connected to the Abu Latif and Hariri crime families and criminal organizations within Israel.
According to a statement by the police, the operation had been planned for over a year.
