IDF destroys weapons lab and explosives warehouse in refugee camp during overnight raid
The Israel Defense Forces and Border Police targeted and destroyed a weapons laboratory in the Palestinian refugee camp of Balata overnight. The lab contained seven ready-to-use explosive devices.
The forces also raided a weapons storehouse in the same camp, destroying another seven ready-to-use devices.
During the operation, the IDF forces came under fire and responded with live fire, wounding several assailants.
The IDF also detonated an improvised explosive device that had been placed at the entrance of the camp.
According to the Palestinian Wafa news site, the weapons lab belonged to the Fatah group associated with the Palestinian Authority.
