For the first time in four months: almost 1,400 new cases of the coronavirus were reported in Israel yesterday

The Director General of the Ministry of Health, Prof. Nachman Ash, said in an interview with the Army Radio that yesterday close to 1,400 people were diagnosed with the coronavirus, and that the rate of positive tests is approaching 2%. Ash further added that more than 60 patients are hospitalized in critical condition in hospitals across the country. The last time the daily number of verified coronavirus cases was higher than 1,400, and the positive rate was higher than 2%, was in mid-March.
