US Senate blocks measure requiring Trump administration report on Israeli actions in Judea and Samaria
The U.S. Senate blocked a resolution that would have required the Trump administration to submit a report to Congress on human rights conditions and Israeli actions in Judea and Samaria, including investigations into the deaths of American citizens.
The measure, led by Democratic Sen. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, failed to advance in a 51-47 vote. Democratic Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania joined Republicans in opposing the resolution, while Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky voted in favor.
