Trump on Israeli elections: ‘Thanks to me, Netanyahu avoided defeat; it’s either a stalemate or a victory’
U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that his endorsement of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had shifted the momentum of Israel’s elections.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said Netanyahu had gone from facing a decisive defeat to achieving a tie, or possibly even a victory.
Speaking later to reporters, Trump added that it was still too early to determine whether the election result represented a victory or a political stalemate.
