Trump: Iran issue influenced election results; I will work with Democrats
U.S. President Donald Trump acknowledged that the conflict with Iran influenced the midterm election results, telling Fox News that voters may have been unwilling to bear the short-term consequences of the war, particularly rising fuel prices.
Trump said Democrats had “done a good job” and expressed willingness to cooperate with them on various issues, including immigration. However, he warned that he would veto legislation he considered “crazy.”
The president also said he had no plans to make changes to his Cabinet.
