Saudi military says it intercepted Houthi drone bound for Mecca

The spokesman for the Saudi military announced overnight that a drone launched by the Houthis toward the Muslim holy city of Mecca was intercepted. He added that a cruise missile launched by the Houthis toward western Saudi Arabia was also intercepted.

On Friday, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree denied the Saudi claim that the group had attempted to attack Mecca.
